TRYOUTS

- Wave 1: July 17th 2022

- Wave 2: August 7th 2022

FALL

Youth: 8-12 Practices (mainly Sundays), 2-3 tournaments (2 of them local)

 

High School: 8-10 Practices (mainly Sundays), 2-3 tournaments (1 definitely local, other 2 depend on team's desire to play college lacrosse).

Winter

Youth: Polar Bear (6 outdoor sessions), Box: 6-8 practices and 1 tournament, 1 other additional box option to come!

High School: Box: 6-8 practices and 1 tournament, 1 other additional box option to come!

SPRING

Youth: Encourage playing Rec such as Geronimo and 1 other additional box option to come!

 

High School: N/A

SUMMER

Youth: 8-12 Practices (all on weekdays) and 2-3 Tournaments (2 of them local)

Location: OAC (490 Scott Rd Richmond Virginia 23227)

Tryout Times: *the same for each date*

2031's (9:00 am - 10:00 am)

2030's (9:00 am - 10:00 am)

2029's (10:15 am - 11:30 am) 

2028's (10:15 am - 11:30 am)

2027's (Noon- 1:30 pm)

2026's (Noon- 1:30 pm)

2025's (1:45 pm - 3:15 pm)

2024's (1:45 pm - 3:15 pm)

 

*There will be no Fall '23 team available*

Please be sure to arrive 15 minutes early to check in at the table and do your best to attend both tryouts.  If you cannot, please let Mac Foley know ahead of time and you can find a different time to schedule a workout or go off of previous evaluations. Mac Foley:

– Director of Fusion Virginia since 2018

– 6th year as Lacrosse Program Director and Varsity Head Coach at Benedictine College Preparatory

– Graduated from Hampden- Sydney College in ’14 with an English Major and a Spanish Minor

– Played Long Stick Midfield for the Tigers

- From Richmond, VA and played high school ball at Collegiate School

– Coached with Geronimo Lacrosse since 2007

- Director of Virginia Lax All-Stars

Andrew Stanley:

– Graduated from Randolph Macon College in ’95 with a Psychology Major and a Philosophy Minor

- Masters in Counseling VCU '04

– Played Defense for the Yellow Jackets and was a Team Captain in ’95

- Athletic Director at Collegiate School

– Boys Lacrosse Program Leader and Varsity Head Coach at Collegiate School from 1996- 2022

– Has taught Elementary School and Senior Capstone at Collegiate School

– Member of the Coaches Education Committee/ Coaches Development Training for US Lacrosse

– From Baltimore, MD, and played high school ball at Gilman

– Been with Fusion Virginia since it started

- Current Assistant Coach for Christopher Newport University

– Played Attack at Christopher Newport University

– Played Attack for 1 year at Mount St. Mary’s

-Accounting Major, Aspiring Masters in Financial Analysis

Andrew Vigne:

– Assistant Athletic Director and Varsity Assistant at Collegiate School.  Former Defensive Coordinator at Williams College and played goalie at Guilford. 3rd year with Fusion.

Aaron Chrzaszcz:

Four-year starter at Christopher Newport University (’14), Assistant Coach at Christopher Newport University for 6 years, majored in Psychology and has a Masters in Teaching.  Recipient of the student leadership award, in 7th year teaching 5th grade in the Newport News public school system.  Proud father of Raelyn and husband of Siarra.  Coach has been with Fusion since it started in Virginia.

– 3-year starter for Hampden-Sydney College

– 2x All-Odac Goalie

– Major: Economics  Minor: Latin

– Member of the Air Force lacrosse team in 2014

– Varsity Assistant at Benedictine College Preparatory

– 4th year with Fusion

– Has been an Implementation Manager at Reliable Payments for the past 3 years

– Enjoys strength and conditioning as well as Jiu-Jitsu

– Held the burger record at Jack Brown’s in 2019 with 12 in 45 minutes

– Major: Economics Minor: Creative Writing

- 4 years as Varsity Assistant at Benedictine College Preparatory

– 4 years as JV Head Coach at Benedictine College Preparatory

– 4 years as Varsity Assistant at Benedictine College Preparatory

– 4 years coaching Geronimo Lacrosse

– 3rd year with Fusion

– Director of Operations at Reliable Payments for the past 5 years

– Graduated Hampden-Sydney College in ’18 majoring in Business Economics

– Played Midfield at Hampden-Sydney College

– All-ODAC Sportsmanship Team

– 5 years as a Varsity Assistant and Middies Head Coach at Benedictine College Preparatory

– Played High School lacrosse at La Jolla Country Day as well as the West Coast Stars

– Avid Hockey player and started a high school hockey team at La Jolla.

– 4th year with Fusion

– Graduated from Hampden-Sydney College in ’18 with a Psychology Major.

– 2017 ODAC Champion and current HSC record holder for goals in a single season with 56

– 3rd years as Varsity Offensive Coordinator at Benedictine College Preparatory

– 4th year with Fusion

– Human Capital Management Consultant for Dominion Payroll
