Youth: 8-12 Field Practices (Sundays only), 2-3 tournaments (2 of them local), Box practice one weeknight a week

High School: 8-10 Practices (mainly Sundays), 2-3 tournaments (1 definitely local, other 2 depend on team's desire to play college lacrosse).


Youth: Polar Bear (6 outdoor sessions), Box: 6-8 practices and 1-2 tournaments

High School: Box: 6-8 practices and 1 tournament, 1 other additional box option to come!


Youth: Encourage playing Rec such as Geronimo and 1 other additional box option to come!


High School: N/A

Location: River City Sportsplex (13030 Genito Rd Midlothian, VA 23112)

Tryout Times: *the same for each date*


2032's: Rising 4th (9:00 am - 10:00 am)

2031's: Rising 5th (9:00 am - 10:00 am)

2030's: Rising 6th (10:15 am - 11:15 am)

2029's: Rising 7th (10:15 am - 11:45 pm) 

2028's: Rising 8th (10:30 am - 11:45 pm)

2027's: Rising 9th (12:15 pm- 1:45 pm)

2026's: Rising 10th (2:00 pm - 3:30 pm)

2025's: Rising 11th (2:00 pm - 3:30 pm)


*We will not have a Fall '24 team available*

Please be sure to arrive 15 minutes early to check in at the table and do your best to attend both tryouts.  If you cannot, please let Mac Foley know ahead of time and you can find a different time to schedule a workout or go off of previous evaluations. Mac Foley:

– Director of Fusion Virginia since 2018

– 7th year as Lacrosse Program Director and Varsity Head Coach at Benedictine College Preparatory

– Graduated from Hampden- Sydney College in ’14 with an English Major and a Spanish Minor

– Played Long Stick Midfield for the Tigers

- From Richmond, VA and played high school ball at Collegiate School

– Coached at Geronimo Lacrosse since 2007

- Director of Virginia Lax All-Stars

- Project Manager at Stephen Gould


Andrew Stanley:

– Graduated from Randolph Macon College in ’95 with a Psychology Major and a Philosophy Minor

- Masters in Counseling VCU '04

– Played Defense for the Yellow Jackets and was a Team Captain in ’95

- Head Athletic Director at Collegiate School

– Boys Lacrosse Program Leader and Varsity Head Coach at Collegiate School from 1996- 2022

– Has taught Elementary School and Senior Capstone at Collegiate School

– Member of the Coaches Education Committee/ Coaches Development Training for US Lacrosse

– From Baltimore, MD, and played high school ball at Gilman

– Been with Fusion Virginia since it started as well as VA Lax All Stars


Matt Rice: 

- Current Assistant Coach for Christopher Newport University, Final 4 Appearance this year

– Played Attack at Christopher Newport University

– Played Attack for 1 year at Mount St. Mary’s

-Accounting Major, Aspiring Masters in Financial Analysis

-High School All-American for Lafayette HS in Williamsburg VA

– 5th year with Fusion


Aaron Chrzaszcz:

Four-year starter at Christopher Newport University (’14), Assistant Coach at Christopher Newport University for 6 years, majored in Psychology and has a Masters in Teaching.  Recipient of the student leadership award, in 7th year teaching 5th grade in the Newport News public school system.  Proud father of Raelyn and husband of Siarra.  Coach has been with Fusion since it started in Virginia as well as VA Lax All Stars. 


Mitch Renfrow:

– 3-year starter for Hampden-Sydney College

– 2x All-Odac Goalie

– Major: Economics  Minor: Latin

– Member of the Air Force lacrosse team in 2014

– Varsity Assistant at Benedictine College Preparatory

– 5th year with Fusion

– Has been an Implementation Manager at Reliable Payments for the past 3 years

– Enjoys strength and conditioning as well as Jiu-Jitsu

– Held the burger record at Jack Brown’s in 2019 with 12 in 45 minutes


Jack Little:

– Graduated Hampden-Sydney College in ’18 majoring in Business Economics

– Played Midfield at Hampden-Sydney College

– All-ODAC Sportsmanship Team

– 5 years as a Varsity Assistant and Middies Head Coach at Benedictine College Preparatory

– Played High School lacrosse at La Jolla Country Day as well as the West Coast Stars

– Avid Hockey player and started a high school hockey team at La Jolla.

– 5th year with Fusion


Chandler Shaheen:

– Graduated from Hampden-Sydney College in ’18 with a Psychology Major.

– 2017 ODAC Champion and current HSC record holder for goals in a single season with 56

– 3rd years as Varsity Offensive Coordinator at Benedictine College Preparatory

– 4th year with Fusion

– Human Capital Management Consultant for Dominion Payroll 


Bobby Fulton:

– Graduated from Hampden- Sydney College with a Major in Economics with a Minor in Military Leadership and National Security

– Midfielder and solo team captain for the Tigers in the 2014 campaign

– Project Manager for Capital Interior Contractors

– US Army Ranger for 5 years

– 3rd year with Fusion


Bill Seegar: 

– Varsity Assistant at Freeman High School

– JV Head Coach at Freeman High School

– 10th year at Freeman High School teaching AP Economics, Personal Finance, and Intro to Business Principles

– Grew up playing lacrosse in  Baltimore, MD

– 5th year with Fusion


Ned Bowden: 

– Graduated from Hampden- Sydney College in ’14 with a Major in Physics

– Coaches 2021 and 22 teams

– 1st year with Fusion

– Defenseman and Long Stick Midfielder for the Tigers

– Team MVP  in the 2014 campaign

– Head of Business Development at Emerald Construction 2nd team All American Fogo '22


Warner Cabaniss:

- 2nd team All American FOGO '22 for Christopher Newport

- Grew up in Richmond VA and attended Collegiate School

John Burke Jr.

- Freeman High School Varsity Offensive Coordinator

- Attended Hampden-Sydney College played Attack

- Holds school single season assist record at HSC

- Grew up in Richmond VA and attended St. Christophers School

- Head of Sales at Master Electrical Services 

- Approaching his second year with Fusion


Ben Rising: 

- Attended VMI and played Defense

- Grew up in Richmond VA and attended Collegiate School

- Program Planner at Lockheed Martin

Aidan FitzGerald: 

- Played 6 years at Christopher Newport as a Defenseman

- Masters in Teaching

- Will be a Teacher/Coach in the Virginia Beach area in Fall '23

Matt McCabe

- Attackman for Christopher Newport with a Final 4 appearance '23

- Grew up in Richmond VA attending Freeman High School

- 2x US Lacrosse All American

- 2x Region 5C Player of the Year

- 2x 1st team All- Metro

- Has Freeman's program record with 229 points and set the VHSL single season standard with 91 assists 


Patrick Marshall   

- Defenseman for University of Lynchburg

- Grew up in Richmond VA and attended Benedictine College Prep

Connor Rice

- Attackman for JMU Dukes, studying Communication
